OK- We have planned our annual 'day after Thanksgiving' hike. I hate shopping on Black Friday and its my son's birthday (28 yrs) so we choose to go hiking/snowshoeing. Considering the recent weather, what routes are in good condition? Last year we did Fern falls- cool to see it frozen over. Have also done Nymph/Dream/Emerald, Deer Mountain and conquered the Loch route also. Other popular areas? I suspect most are at least snow covered but I would rather avoid ice if possible. Is Wild Basin a candidate- Is Calypso Cascades frozen? Or the Hollowell area? Anyone going to be up there Friday?
Happy Turkey Day!!
