John, your reports have been great. I'm so happy for everyone who made it to the summit and for those who gave it their all.

Another great report John. You did a great job leading and encouraging our group to the Boulderfield. I'll never forget your last little words of encouragement near the Keyhole. I was trying to stay positive knowing that Mike was not going on and I was not leaving him alone. There is a huge part of me that wishes I would have continued on with the group but the wife in me is happy I went back with Mike as that is where my heart really was.
Wish I had taken more pictures of our group to post of you, as you have documented everyone's stories so well.

Another awesome report!! We really do have the most wonderful people on this forum!
I have been kicking myself that I didn't start or get serious about Long's preparation in time for this year. I obviously missed out on a wonderful hike with the forums family. I wanted it, but I didn't want it enough to DO what I needed to DO, or to give up what I needed to give up. That being said, I have kicked my own rear into high gear. With my family's encouragement, I've already made great progress over the last 2 months. Now that I've gotten my jump start, I am NOT stopping. Next summer is going to see a whole new me. I hope that Aaron and I will be able to get to RMNP for a nice, week long stay, and that I will be able to accomplish one or two of the great hikes that have been unattainable in my mind for the last several years.
I've never had the pleasure of hiking with Ed or Al, but I do hope that future visits to RMNP will include those adventures. :)
We have experienced camping with John though and he is an amazing camp host!! He thinks of everything and makes camp pretty darn close to as comfy as home.
