Truly two very special people. I am so glad they made the summit, I know how badly Monica wanted it and that dogged determination was evident from the time we left the trailhead. Hated to see Rick hurt but now he will forever be known as that stud that climbed down Longs with a broken fibula! Thanks for sharing your experience with all of us, what a an inspiration you guys are!

Avg Speed: 0.9 mph
Max Speed: 10.6 mph
Avg Pace: 70' 16" per mile
Min Altitude: 9,349 ft
Max Altitude: 14,346 ft
Start Time: 2010-08-27T08:57:59Z

Longitude: 105.556826º W
End Location:

There were two sections I think that I forgot to resume recording so the milage is going to be off. Interesting that it claims the altitude is higher than what the US geological survey says.
Shoot me a pm or e-mail if you'd like the .gpx or .kmz files.

Mike,
That is truly a funny line from the movie.
Actually, the pain has been increasing every day. There is no way I could have walked out if I had spent the night at the boulderfield. Sat morning I could only hop. Today I have been in a world of pain and finally took some vicodin. And let me tell you. Life is good again.
I can't wait to see next years football schedule.
I hope to be hiking in the big house with you if big red is on the schedule.
I will be pulling whatever strings necessary to help make it happen.
