I need to crank out some more topical podcasts. So I know we've got some folks around here that know enough about topics to be a guest for a podcast or know someone that's knowledgeable enough to be a guest. If so, don't be shy....send me an email at aaron AT rmnpforums.com. We've done some "round table" style stuff quite a while ago. It worked well and would be enjoyable to do again. Throw out ideas, everyone.

Also, I've been asked to help do some interviews to create podcasts for National Parks Traveler Podcast. We've got a handful of ideas that are along the lines of fall-related activities. If you've got ideas for those let me know as well (aaron AT rmnpforums.com)

It's time to crank out some podcasts. :yup: :7upspot:

Could there be a podcast on the topic of how when someone uses a picture of Lake Husted in a photo contest, it should be automatically declared the winner? I think this is a very relevant topic that people would find informative and interesting.

Okay, so it looks like I'll "harass" those that I think have knowledge on certain subjects. Igloo Ed is always a good guest. Swimswithtrout seems like a good resource to tap. Drcloud could be another, etc, etc, etc. I'm going to start making a list of forums members to bug to do podcasts for my podcast (and possibly for the Traveler podcast).

For the Traveler podcast, any more fall-oriented suggestions for topics/interviews? I need to call Jen (misssilly)....she'd get me in touch with someone at Rainier. Who has a contact that would be an interesting person to interview about the general topic of hiking in the fall?

Okay, so here are the topics & contacts I'm chasing...

Apple harvests in Hopewell Furnace National Park & Capitol Reef National Park. The Hawk Watch in Acadia National Park. Elk rut inRocky Mountain National Park. Golden Eagle migration in Glacier National Park. And if misssilly (ranger Jen) gets back to me I'll hopefully have some topic to cover for Mt Rainier National Park. And finally a couple that wrote a book about Glacier.

I'm still open for more suggestions. *HINT HINT HINT HINT*

Well those interviews for the Traveler fell through. I'll be starting the production work on a podcast for them again tonight or tomorrow morning. I'm also working with the folks at RMNP to get some stuff going for my own podcast again.

I am an expert on many topics and can elaborate on them in depth but all of them have no interest to others so I'm signing off now to postulate a new problem for myself! Later and good luck on new topics Aaron!

How about another gear podcast... What kind of gear for day hiking, backpacking, winter camping, etc...

I know a little about that, but I'm sure John and Ed would be interesting to interview...

Good idea, Larry. We could record this and set it aside for next spring/early summer. I'll get a hold of you soon.
