Well i have a little time today to tell 'yal 'bout my trip to estes, this year was different than most cause my wife had her nose stuck in books for school and cant go ! i on the other hand had time to waste and decided my dad had not gone since '03 & i since '07 so POOF plans were made ! we left on a sunday morning and made it in record time (10hrs 30 min 45 secs) mostly cause there were no girls to impede the speed !!!!!
the 1st pic is of the mountains at almost dark from close to the bear lake turn, then one of dad & i on rainbow curve, if i knew how to add a pic then text at the same time i would !!!

the 2nd day was'nt very exciting we spent it downtown , eating at penelopes and driving around estes area getting used to the altitude. we drove up to the estes sign & took a few pix and caught a nice reflection of longs in lake estes. theres also a begging chipmunk by the estes sign i could'nt resist, then a drive up to bear lake to finish out the day, it was just fantastic to be back up there again, the last time i was up there with dad i was 15 so it was a treat.

That's awesome. I'll bet that alone made the whole trip worthwhile. :peace:

Great photos of you and your dad. What I wouldn't give to go to the mountains with my dad. This will be memories you will treasure, I'm sure.
