I wonder who thought to even try this? What if you rub a really big balloon on a big sweater, could you generate enough electricity to work your plasma TV ( not Tom Veik) at your campsite? I think we need to call the "Myth Busters"! shutup.gif

Wow. that's awesome. I'm going to take the waterproof matches out of my pack and put in a 12 pack of coke!

That *is* pretty neat, but matches still weigh less and take up less room.

On a related note, Coughlin's makes these fire starter thingies that are basically a fire starter log with a match tip on the end. They work really well, especially if you use more than one at a time. I always carry some with me when I go camping.

Damn. Your right. Oh well, I'd probably forget the chocolate bar anyway. Then again, at least my bottles of rum and Jack Daniels wouldn't go to waste. cigar.gif

Its pretty cool, if you have an hour to spend polishing the can!! Hopefully none of us would ever be so bad off to have to resort to this method! huh.gif

jflo makes a good point. And besides, if you have a coke and a chocolate bar, chances are you just walked out of a 7-11. Go back in and ask for a book of matches! duh.gif

They made it the law that we fasten our seatbelts. Then they made it the law that we wear helmets when we ride motorcyles/bicycles. Seems like the next logical step would be to mandate that Coke pre-polish all their bottoms. It just might save a life.

Very good observation, Bill! roflmao.gif I have another to add. Most people's "bottoms" are so white that it may come in handy as a reflector, you know if you happen to leave your mirror at home. It might just save a life!

The danger is that some "mirrors" are so large you could set the entire forest on fire!
Plus, the visual .....Yuck ahhhhh.gif
Now I'm afraid!!
