Okay, this is an experiment. Having grown up in Iowa and having spent 25 years as an Iowa farmer, I have a passion for weather. We don't have tornadoes in RMNP, but we do have very photogenic weather scenes. I don't often capture images in the afternoon, but there is a lot of weather to photograph. So, I'm making a commitment to documenting what I see. It's always going to be challenging light. I hope to capture lightning and the evidence of high winds.
Today's snow showers moving over the front range into the valleys. This is important to me because we had a HUGE influx of migratory birds come back to the glacial valleys in search of nesting areas for their summer offspring. I fear they were moderately discouraged. But, hope Springs eternal.
