+dianeh85  : (30 July 2010 - 04:29 PM) I was partial to the orange glue with the slanty top
+zzcoop  : (30 July 2010 - 04:25 PM) Wearing them on your toes is okay. It's eating them afterward when things get creepy.
+Bill 007  : (30 July 2010 - 03:54 PM) What's really creepy is wearing 'em on your toes. Not that John does....
+zzcoop  : (30 July 2010 - 03:13 PM) I really didn't expect you to do it at McDonald's though. That was weird.
+John  : (30 July 2010 - 03:09 PM) I liked to stick Bugles Corn Chips on the tips of all my fingers to give the look that I had claws.
+Bill 007  : (30 July 2010 - 03:02 PM) I had a jelly bean stuck in my ear once. It was delicious.
+Bill 007  : (30 July 2010 - 03:02 PM) That counts for A LOT!!!
+Wyldfyre63  : (30 July 2010 - 02:54 PM) I shoved a small pink pencil erasure up my nose when I was little, does that count for anything?
+Bill 007  : (30 July 2010 - 02:35 PM) Did you bring the Elmers??????
+Scrapinator  : (30 July 2010 - 02:23 PM) I do miss some interesting discussions when I am gone for a while :smile1:
+Bill 007  : (30 July 2010 - 02:23 PM) That was the Southwest Ranch flavored.
+zzcoop  : (30 July 2010 - 02:22 PM) I always thought Elmer's Glue-All had a certain "tangy zip" to it.
+mistylady  : (30 July 2010 - 02:21 PM) I had a hard time keeping paste in the classroom. My kids would sneak bites when they thought I wasn't looking. Finally was able to get glue sticks. Took all the fun out of pasting. I remember eating paste when I was little, too.
+Bill 007  : (30 July 2010 - 02:20 PM) Yes.
+zzcoop  : (30 July 2010 - 02:17 PM) I did the glue hands thing too! I never ate Elmer's though. But I was VERY tempted. It smells just like Miracle Whip. Wait, does that mean…?
Rhonda  : (30 July 2010 - 02:12 PM) Well, I was also a dweeb, so they can't blame the pot in my case
+Bill 007  : (30 July 2010 - 02:07 PM) I think 95% of folks our age partook...say...that could explain a few things. And they blamed the pot!
Rhonda  : (30 July 2010 - 02:06 PM) No wonder I turned out so weird.
+Bill 007  : (30 July 2010 - 02:06 PM) It's a wonder what hasn't been erased hasn't stuck together.
Rhonda  : (30 July 2010 - 02:05 PM) I remember the glue on the hands, too. I think I ate that also. It's a wonder I lived through childhood.

Oh my!!! Where do I begin? My adventure started before the actual Stomp. It started with helping to build "the guys'" igloo on the Sunday before the Stomp. Then, because of Ed and JP, I was equipped with everything anyone would ever need to be totally comfortable up in an igloo for two nights.....including a sled to haul everything (which would have been a bit nicer if it came with a motor! lol).

Bob dropped me off at McGregor's on Thursday morning to meet up with my igloo mates...Ed, Helene, Mark and John. Well, we weren't actually ALL gonna be in the same igloo. Helene and I got our own special "girl igloo". It was really nice and very cozy! I loved sleeping in the igloo!!! And, YES, I would do it again!!!

I wish I would have had someone take a picture of me pulling the sled up to the igloo, but I didn't. Believe me though, I DID pull it up...I've got witnesses!!!! lol Here's the only pic I took on the way up...John Zemmin during a little rest after doing the "big" climb.

It was snowing the first night and I wanted to take a picture of the moon and stars, but when the flash went off I got the moon and the snowflakes (which look like stars). You can't really see the tall, dead tree I wanted to have show up too. Not a great pic, I just think it's kind of cool....and a memory for me.

Here's Helene on Friday morning in front of our igloo...

Mark and John left on Friday morning. Then, not very much later, JP and Jim escorted Brandon up to the igloos. Here's JP and Brandon on their way up.

Shortly after arriving, Brandon was checking out his new home for the night...

JP brought me water, chocolates, clementines, apples and a night light. Jim brought me more water and a really good sandwich that Sherry made for me. What sweet guys...they sure do take care of Granny!!! Here's a pic inside my igloo...

This pic shows my new night light that JP brought...stuck into the inside wall of my igloo

I've got a lot more pics, but I'm in Florida with family right now and I'll post a few here and there as I get a little spare time. Oh, I should mention that some of the pics I'll be posting are Jim's (Belvedere) pics. He wanted me to post some of his for him...his pics will be the good-quality ones! I've also got the "folks coming out of the igloo" video that Jim took. Boy, those igloos sure are a LOT bigger inside than they appear from the outside. I'm mentioning this now just a teaser to keep you tuned in for stuff to be posted later. lol

What????? You don't wanna wait??? OK, I'll be nice.....here's his video

    More later...

I'm looking forward to more pics, Jennifer, and I'm feeling a little jealous after reading all of the awesome reports. I'm sure glad you all had such a good time. Maybe next year........

I hope you're having a great time in FL.

It was so fun hanging out with you again, Jennifer! You are such a trooper to stay in the igloo 2 nights -- and always with that radiant smile :)

Randy you wouldn't believe!! Camp Ed is like a city...sidewalks, stair cases, split level igloos, even a slide! The Mayor is a bit harsh with law breakers though....you do not want to receive a Snow Penalty!

Awesome report! It's hard to believe that video is actually real - but I know it was when I see the look of relief on John Z's face as he gets out - a little claustrophobic in there me thinks. :smile1:
