Okay...why don't we shoot for either Thursday, August 26 or Friday, August 27.
I don't know if one is better than another....I defer to the "experts".

Fantabulous! Now I need to know who is interested in spending a night or two at The Boulderfield. I need to call in reservations March 1. Better to say you are interested and change your mind (I can always cancel) than to try and get in at the last minute. Experienced backpackers are welcome but I'm especially interested in helping people who have never backpacked before. I'll work with you all summer to get you ready for the time of your life!

We are arriving on the 25th so not sure if we would be acclimated by the 26th to attempt Longs. If the group is summiting on the 27th could possibly make it with the correct pace. I've always wanted to attempt Longs via Keplinger's Couloir. Would there be anyone going that would like to camp at Sandbeach Lake the night before and attempt that route or does everyone want to go via the standard Keyhole Route? Either way count myself and my husband in for a get together on the 25th. Can't wait!

Forgot to add that if no one is interested in Keplinger's then count me in for staying the night before in the boulderfield. Someone's got to be there to make sure John shares the privies!

I know it seems early, but please remember that John needs your camping info by March 1 so he can make the proper reservations at the Boulderfield. The planning spreadsheet can be found here.

Thanks for putting this all together. Our info has been added. John let me know if you need someone else to call in for Boulderfield permits and we'll get it done!

Remember, Monday is "Dialing Day" for backcountry websites. We need to lock down the Boulderfield dates and numbers so John can plan accordingly.

(Yeah, I know a bunch of you having STOMP Brain. Nonetheless, we need to give John a better idea of who's planning to camp and/or summit.)

Jen and I are in. Would really prefer a Friday attempt though, I dont want to have to arrive too early in the week to get acclimated as i will be pulling jen from school (though the lessons from climbing longs are better than anything she'll be missing). We will probably fly in wed night the 25th, out on sunday the 29th... not much time to acclimate, but we'll give it a go.

Will likely be the ones to start extremely early so we can take our sweet time.

If anyone has similar travel dates, we'd be up for sharing some lodging if anyone is interested.
