Ed, I love the way you celebrated Thanksgiving. And now I know that while many people think the bears hibernate in the winter, you have shown proof that they are out and about with their fur turning white to enable them blend in with their snowy environment. (kind of like the ptarmigans)

Wonderful views from your Thanksgiving hangout! It's looks like your buddy was having a great time sliding down the snow. You really know how to have a good time, Ed!

Ed, you are so good about taking us along on your igloo travels thru your trip reports. Its so much fun. It looks like you had some really yummy Thanksgiving dinner food -- and you know you are home when friends just drop in to see you, huh? I can't wait to get to Grannyheart's report and pictures too :)

Be safe and warm the rest of your stay. Have you been able to get any glowy igloo photos yet?

OMG Ed....he's awesome!!!! I love the hands!!! Is he gonna get legs or is he just gonna remain on a pedestal? I had so much fun today! The trip down was fast and easy (and I didn't even get lost! lol).

I carved on it until it got to dark to see and the moonlight wasn't good enough to work with.
When I got up the this morning, he looked like he'd had a rough night:

He had worn his claws bare through the night!

For some reason, this one reminds me of Bullwinkle:

The moonlight was to bright and the glow doesn't show up then. Here's one picture of the igloo when I got there on my first day:

Still looking good after 1 1/2 weeks as it sits down in a shady spot.
I decided to come down today as my batteries were dead and it was overcast enough that my solar charger didn't work.

Will you go back to that igloo? Was there any more pumpkin cheesecake left when you got home? It's those little things that always keep me curious :)

I went up yesterday and swung by the igloo for lunch only to find that he has had a rough week defending camp.
He's lost his fingers and has taken a blow to the chest from a flying saucer collision but he remains vigilant:
