This morning Ed was scheduled to build a demo igloo at JAX's in Loveland. A few of us (JP, Jim and me) offered to stop by and help. Well, Bob drove me to the store and was gonna just drop me off and pick me up later. Ed showed Bob the Ice Box and how it works....

Then, before he knew it, Bob had a shovel in hand and was helping build an igloo...

It was a fun surprise when Lawrence (laculb) showed up. I had Bob take a pic of the four of us (L to R....JP, Lawrence, me and Ed)

Every once in a while the wind would pick up a bit. Here's Ed being caught in a gust....
Posted Image

When Jim showed up, he was put to work gathering snow from around the building and the parking lot.
Posted Image

The guys were having a pretty good time and making good progress on the igloo...

Posted Image

Finally it was time for JP to make his way out...
Posted Image

Then it was time for me to go in and leave my graffiti inside and then make a quick exit...

What a great crew. Thanks for the pics, Jennifer. I was wondering if the weather cooperated today.

After the igloo was completed we all went inside the store and had some hot chocolate. We figured we were done for the day......but Ed had other plans! lol

"Who would like to go up to Ft. Collins and build another igloo up there????", Ed asked with a little smile on his face. Well, how can ya say no to Ed? Besides, we WERE having fun!

So, we all got in our cars and headed up to the JAX store in Ft. Collins and started building a second igloo...
Posted Image

This time most of the snow came via the back of a truck...
Posted Image

JP took his place inside the igloo to do some snow packing...
Posted Image

This second igloo was going together really quickly...
Posted Image

Before we knew it, JP was getting ready for the finishing touches...

Once the igloo was completed, I again had to leave my graffiti and make another quick exit....

It was REALLY a fun day! Ed actually let me handle a shovel and contribute a little bit. Mostly my job was to take pics and be the guys' cheerleader.....a gig I like! After the second igloo was finished, Ed took all of us out for dinner. How cool is that????!!!!! Thanks so much Ed!!!

And I might add that Bob shoveled most of the snow for both igloos:

Indeed, thanks for showing up Lawrence. Always great to meet happy people.
Not long after Lawrence left and as the igloo got bigger, people started getting interested and gathered round:

No matter how many times I build an igloo at a demo, they always seem lonely when we first start building them in a packing lot:

The store was great, lots of the workers came out to give a hand and see how it worked:
