I'll be interviewing Barry Sweet this afternoon regarding bear canisters in RMNP. Any questions you'd like asked? Comments?

How can I know that the bear canister I purchase today will still be approved by the park tomorrow?

I think I'd just like to know the general regulations and the best places to see bears! (Still haven't seen a bear in Rocky. EVER.)

Great question, Ed. I'm gonna ask about that. I'm also going to ask where, if at all, they have their list of approved canisters. I found a list on the Yosemite site but I'm assuming it's a park by park list?

Keep the questions comin' :yup:

My understanding is the canisters are not required in winter but what are the dates this applies.
