When I was 16 I climbed Mt. Rainier, and we had to go to a climbing school prior to the climb. That is one of the things we had to learn. He makes it look easy, but I had a hard time learning the technique. Cool video, Aaron.

I just finished a book about climbing and the guy was talking about how that technique saved his life more than once.

I learned this technique real quick like a couple of years ago coming down from the North Face with Smudge - it's pretty easy when the alternative is death upon the rocks. blink.gif
