I checked out a couple of books on how to survive in the wilderness so I'd have something better to read than the typical airline magazine on a trip to Ghana I took last month. I work on my laptop most of the trip, but during the takeoff and landing process you can't have "approved electronic devices" turned on. One of the books was very informative and included topics such as how to make a snare to catch a hare, how to build a snow shelter, how to build a dead fall trap for large animals, how to survive in the cold, etc. On the last leg of my trip I just happened to have an assigned seat by a teenage girl. I had worked my way to the part of the book where tha author describes (with pictures!) how to butcher meat in the wild. Although I was minding my own business, the teeanger apparently took note of my reading material and as soon as the seatbelt sign was turned off, she moved to a different seat. I guess she thought I was quite deranged...
