For those of you who may remember Jimmie Bratcher from at least one of the RMN Podcasts, he was just played on one of the most popular podcasts in the universe, The Daily Source Code (Adam Curry....remember him from the Mtv days?).

Anyway, I thought it was cool. I still kick myself for missing Jimmie when he was here in Lincoln back in September. Jinks will think this is cool. He's friends with Jimmie if I remember correctly. Jimmie's a cool cat, with the blues in his blood.....ahh yeah!

One of my best friends.

Here we are in the studio together.

(Even though we're good friends, he still won't let me play guitar on his albums!)

I really need to check his calendar on his website to see where he'll be this summer. I'd love to hear him in person. He's got a great guitar sound and great blues vocals!!

He sounds like he would fit in well at RIBCO, a nightclub in Rock Island.
Junior Wells, Luther Allison, and many others had played there.

We also have a pretty good blues fest on the river.
(We saw Stevie Ray Vaughn down there the year before he died....MEMORIES)

A couple years ago, I was going to audition to be his second drummer. His original drummer was wanting to take a lesser role at the time, I talked with Jimmie, he sent me a couple cd's to practice with, then I never heard from him again! I don't know what happened. Maybe his drummer reconsidered?
